Testimonials

Just wanted to say thanks for the efforts you have put in this year with British Inclusive Golf. As a junior disabled golfer Lewis is limited as to what he can do in golf, or so it seemed until now. This year competing in disabled golf events and representing BIG in a team match has given his confidence a lift but also helped hugely with his social development. Everyone we have met has been fantastic with him and given him nothing but encouragement. We look forward to next year.

I would just like to offer my sincere thanks for your help and support with the annual Captain’s Charity Golf Day at Bondhay Golf Club. It means a lot to me that you are willing to support my son Joseph and all sufferers of Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Keep up the good work and we will look forward to the next event.

I found B.I.G on the Internet about 2years ago and started to go to the events that they putting on. Later on I got involved in helping put events on for the Stroke foundation to help them to use parts of the body affected by the stroke through golf. I am a R.B.K amputee and find that B.I.G have encourage me to develop and have more confidence with my disability.

I joined BIG about 18 months ago, and I can say without question that it was the right decision. Kevin and Cerise and all the fellow members made me very welcome and had such an enjoyable first competition. Earlier this year I was invited to play in the first Phoenix Cup against SDG, and had a wonderful time, again meeting new and disabled golfers. The set up by Kevin and Cerise was again faultless, which made the tournament  a great event to take part in for all. They are leaders when it comes to the organisation of special events, not only for the disabled but for all quality of golfer. Again, this is a great organisation and it is a pleasure being a member of British Inclusive Golf (BIG).

I was involved in an accident in June 2010 in which I lost my right leg below the knee and extensive injuries to my left leg. I was first introduced to Kevin Booth in the winter of 2010 and with his help and encouragement played in my first disabled event in March 2011. With the help and support of Kevin, Cerise and others involved with British Inclusive Golf, I have reduced my handicap to16, won the Barnes Trophy at my golf club in 2012 and the Colson - Osborne trophy in 2013. I have also been lucky enough to have been selected to play in the Auld Enemies Cup and also helped British Inclusive Golf to win the inaugural GB Phoenix Cup  this year. Golf has been a massive help towards my recovery and my general wellbeing in life and British Inclusive Golf, Kevin and Cerise have been a massive part of that.
