Annual Match v HHDGU Juniors

It was a great day Sunday 17th April when HHDGU Juniors beat British Inclusive Golf in the annual golf match 41/2 to 11/2. Three of the games went to the last hole so it was a closer game than it looks. Golfers with a disability travelled from Newcastle, Wirral, Wigan, Wath and Dewsbury to play in the event. This is the 4th year that the D Booth Trophy has been played for making it 3 wins out of 4 for the Juniors.
Thank you ELLAND GOLF CLUB for a great day. The course, the food, and hospitality were second to none. Thank you to Tommy Ward the main Junior organiser for the Union and other Union officers its always a pleasure to play these young talented lads year in and out, may it continue for a long time to come. The HHDGU have embraced our charity and your support is always grateful. Thank you from all Trustees of BIG.
The scores were as follows:
D Astih & T Tighe beat K Booth & J Holmes 5 & 4
Joe Lowson & Lewis Hopkinson beat Lewis Eccles & Dave Standing 4 & 3

Aidem Grant & Owen Brook lost to John Irvine & Tony Stewart 5 & 4

We all had a good meal after golf and wished Lewis Eccles who is 15 and from Wath on Dearne the very best as he has been chosen to represent Great Britain in the special Olympics in China end of this month.
