The annual charity golf day took place at Bondhay Golf Club near Worksop on 17th April 2015. 44 Golfers travelled from all over Yorkshire and Lancashire to play in this AM-AM event. For the 3rd year running we were blessed with good weather and thanks goes to the Catering staff and greens staff at Bondhay for an excellent day.
The day was made even more special with Trick shot golfer Dean Davies who kindly attended the event. He challenged all the players to a nearest the pin on the short Par 3 11th, then did a 20 minute show on the driving range after the golf.
The winners were I Halliwell, D Standing, N Roberts and C Brookfield from Wigan, in 2nd place from Hickleton Golf Club were J Dawson, D Priestley, P Lawton and J Pugh with Huddersfield team J Thompson, R Neil, D Parker and N Brown in 3rd place.
Both nearest pins were won by N Roberts and Longest drive was won by C Brookfield.
Thanks go to Cerise Booth, Wendy Oxley and Peter Begent for their organisation on getting people on the course, fed and watered on the day and running a raffle that raised much needed funds for the charity.
