BiG Has a New Patron

Eddie Polland has agreed to become Patron with immediate effect.

Eddie was born in Newcastle, County Down and turned professional in 1968; he won four times on the European Tour between 1973 and 1980.

He also played in the Ryder Cup in 1973. Since turning fifty he has played on the European Seniors Tour, where he has won twice. He was third in the European Seniors Tour Order of Merit in 1998 and second in 1999. Also in 1999 he played in the Praia D’El Rey European Cup in Portugal. He now has a golf academy in Sotogrande Costa del Sol Spain.

The idea of Eddie becoming Patron came through our mutual connection with Stuart Walsh of GRIP PAR who is our Major sponsor of Taster sessions; we hope that BiG can work closely with Eddie in getting disabled people back onto the golf course or into golf for the first time.
