Longley Park AM AM

4 members of British Disabled Golf played in an Am-Am at Huddersfields LONGLEY PARK GOLF CLUB. Longley is a 9 hole course and at the highest point of the course has magnificent views of Huddersfield centre. Longley is not a course known to have buggies as they have a steep hill on hole 5 and 14, this did not deter British Disabled Golf event coordinator Kevin Booth from joining Longley earlier this year. The commitee was a bit dubious about allowing Kevin on the course, but after a short while it proved successful as all the members accepted Kevin into the club. Therefore when the chance came Kevin invited some fellow disabled golfers to play in the Am-Am to which the team played well and scored a creditable 77 points, but not in the prizes. Longley are in the process of making the hill more accessable for buggies and look forward to having more disabled groups at their club in the future.
The team consisted of Kevin Booth (13) , Dave Standing (13) , Brian Parsons (17) and Dave Cooksley (23).
